Myofascial Release 60 minute

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a hands-on therapy technique that focuses on relieving tension in the body’s fascia—the thin, connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, bones, and organs.

What it is

Fascia can become tight or restricted due to injury, stress, inflammation, or poor posture. Myofascial Release uses gentle, sustained pressure and stretching to loosen these restrictions, helping restore movement and reduce pain.

How it works

A therapist applies slow, targeted pressure to specific areas of the body. Unlike traditional massage, MFR does not rely on oils or quick movements. Instead, it involves holding pressure for extended periods to allow the fascia to gradually release.

Benefits
  • Reduces chronic pain and muscle tightness

  • Improves flexibility and range of motion

  • Enhances circulation and healing

  • Helps with posture and body alignment

  • Can reduce stress and promote relaxation

Common uses

Myofascial Release is often used for conditions such as:

  • Back and neck pain

  • Sports injuries

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Scar tissue restrictions

Overall

Myofascial Release is a gentle, non-invasive therapy aimed at improving the body’s natural ability to heal by addressing fascial restrictions and restoring balance.
